ECRG Gives Back

ECRG promotes positive and healthy outlets for youth, especially if it involves wheels!  The development of a world-class skate park located under the Washington Jefferson Bridge is gaining wide support from the City of Eugene as well as multiple organizations, including your beloved local roller derby league!  In the photo above, League Secretary Ambruisia, Treasurer Reign of Tara, and Vice President JuiceBox are presenting our $250 donation to Eric Purdy for Eugene Skateparks.  For more information, visit www.skateeugene.org.

Welcome the "Fresh Meat!"

Tryouts in April were a huge success!  ECRG now boasts 40 new girls on our non-bouting team, Bloomin' Doom.  All these awesome ladies have dedicated themselves to a tough job; twice a week they endure off- and on-skates training to prepare for derby scrimmaging.  It's a long process in which a skater should take pride, yet it is not for the faint of heart.  The coaches ensure player safety by gradually increasing the challenge level of drills each practice session and running strict assessments of skaters' abilities.  The vast majority of Bloomin' Doom members don't get drafted to a team for 6 to 9 months, but as every experienced player knows, the journey is half the fun!  You'll see most of our new derby girls volunteering at the next bout--come say hi and feel free to ask any questions  :)

Featured Skater!

ECRG invites you to love our players as much as we do, including this HOT little number--Assista Suicide!  Assista is one of our Heads Of Training (HOT lady!) as well as a Sponsorship liaison.  She helps ensure safety within the league by coordinating with Oregon Medical Group Orthopedics and Sports Medicine to provide services to our injured skaters.  Besides all this, she is a proud mother, wife, and *killer* on the track skating for the Andromedolls.  Once a year she is known as the Silver Squirrel...but you'll have to talk to her directly about how she got that nickname  :)  Thank you Assista Suicide for your love, spirit, and dedication to ECRG!!!
